Connie Pfanmiller-Vandiver
Connie joined CLC College Prep in 2019 as a Critical Reading and English Test Prep Specialist. Connie taught in public education for 23 years before retiring in 2017. She taught several levels of Language Art courses, including Gifted & Talented and AP courses. She taught AP English & Language Composition for 14 years, and enjoyed creating a lively place of questioning, creativity, and hands-on learning and debate.
Connie's passion for teaching continues today. She enjoys kindling a flame for learning, connecting, and helping individuals succeed both in and out of a classroom. Fostering critical thinking in reading and language, as well as writing across the curriculum is her calling. Connie is excellent at helping college-bound students acquire new critical thinking and learning strategies to become successful on college entrance exams, while increasing self-confidence.
Connie is the recipient of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Education Appreciation Award and the Beaumont Foundation of America's Excellence in Education Award. Connie holds degrees from West Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
